Hello, I’m Terri-Jane

I run Severine, a literary journal, and work on freelance copywriting and feature writing projects.

I’m co-manager of Florence Welch’s book club, Between Two Books. Whilst COVID has put a halt to our IRL event plans, we’ve been sharing recommendations online, with readings and Q&As from guests including Tori Amos, Olivia Laing, Paul Mescal, Samantha Irby, and C. Pam Zhang.

My feature writing has appeared on/in Chicago Review of Books, Restless, Dazed, Cunning Folk, VICE’s Amuse, Oh Comely, and The Simple Things, among others. My creative writing has been published in various magazines, both online and in print, as well as a non-fiction essay “Creatures of Habit” in Dear Damsel’s collection, What She’s Having, published Feb 2021. I have also published academic writing in collections for Brill Publishing, ABC-Clio, and ID-Net, and have presented at academic conferences in the UK and Canada.

You’ll find clips of my feature writing here, of academic writing and conferences here, and links to my creative writing here.

I also write ache, a bimonthly tinyletter about poems, and co-run Radical Reading London.
